Minister Josephine Teo visited the Sectoral AI Centre of Excellence for Manufacturing (AIMfg) on 18 August 2025.
Leadership from A*STAR’s SIMTech and ARTC hosted an event with Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information and Minister-in-charge of Cybersecurity and Smart Nation Group, and representatives from government, industry, and research.
The session provided an overview of AIMfg’s mission to accelerate AI adoption in manufacturing and its role in supporting enterprises on their digital transformation journeys.
During the programme, AIMfg shared its suite of pre-built AI common models, which organisations can adapt to their operational needs. It also discussed its approach to enabling AI adoption through applied research and industry collaboration.
The visit concluded with technology demonstrations from co-innovation projects with partners including Singapore Aero Engine Services, Coca-Cola, Rockwell Automation, Sunningdale Tech, and Mencast Marine.
Through engagements such as this, AIMfg shows how it translates AI research into practical applications that improve manufacturing operations.
